If you are travelling on a budget, this article is for you. Barcelona is one of the most visited cities in Europe so you are not going to have any issue finding a good hostel where to spend your holiday in Barcelona. Here is a complete guide to the most stylish hotels in Barcelona.
It doesn't matter if you visit Barcelona while staying in a luxury hotel or in a Hostel, the most important thing is that you visit it. Because Barcelona is a magic city that you cannot miss visiting at least once in your lifetime.
When travelling on a budget, alone or with friends, the most important thing for me is finding excellent accommodation, because travelling on a budget doesn't mean you have to sleep in a dirty and unsuitable place just to save money, right?
That is why I made this list, to help you find the best Hostels in Barcelona.
What are the things that should never miss in a Hostel?
Free wifi
24 h reception (in case you need anything),
luggage storage (because maybe your flight is late in the evening and you still want to explore the city on your last day),
24 h security (one of the most essential things when abroad)
self-catering (because maybe you want to cook something to eat for breakfast or dinner to save money)
security lockers (without them a Hostel is not safe),
linen included,
fridge/freezer (to store your food)
towels to hire (so you can save room in your backpack/luggage).
And all of these things are present in the hostels listed in this article.

4. Itaca Hostel:
Location: Barrio Gotico. It is in the centre of the old town, very close to Las Ramblas and to the sea. The area is full of famous sights to visit, tapas bars, restaurants and nightclubs. It is a must-visit quarter, but I don't recommend it for a female solo traveller. Barrio Gotico can be not very safe for a lady walking alone at night. So if you are with a friend, this could be a perfect choice for your stay in Barcelona.
Hostelworld vote: 9.7 Superb.
Itaca Hostel is very colourful, clean, spacious and cheap. It is located in the city centre so you can reach every famous sight just walking around without the need to catch public transport (if you like to walk like me).
